A Virtual Assistant or Outsourced Worker is someone who works from their own office using latest technology to work remotely to complete assigned tasks.
They have a lot of call center agents that work from home so they're used to working remotely. Filipinos are also hardworking, trustworthy and loyal so companies have been using them for a long time.
Most Filipinos are trustworthy, reliable and English is their second language so their written and oral skills are excellent. Plus their cost of living is very low compared to other countries so your employment dollars go much farther.
Almost anything! Some of the most common VA outsourced tasks are Amazon account management, Amazon product sourcing, chat support, data entry, project management, recruitment, social media management and online research.
We don't track our VAs hours, but if you choose to go that route there is software that can easily do that for you.
We primarily use Zoom, Skype, and email. I have a Zoom meeting with my team every Monday morning and throughout the week we use Skype and email.
This varies based on the task, but a typical hourly rate would be $3-$8 per hour.
Our VAs are paid bi-monthly and are on salary instead and most make between $200 and $400 per month.
The 13th month is a government mandated benefit for full-time employees. It is taken from an employee’s average salary for the whole year, which gave the term of 13 months. The formula used in the Philippines is: total basic salary / 12 = 13th month pay. So it is equivalent to one month's salary of that year.
As an outside company, the 13th month pay is not mandatory, but most VAs expect it so we do offer that.
